Gibbons Company Launches Online Store

Gibbons Company, Bermuda's largest Department Store, recently debuted its online store!

Now, you can shop for fragrances and gift cards from home.

The brand new website, http://www.gibbons.bm/, features the full catalog of fragrances offered by the store. You can browse by brand, name, or even by scent!

Just place your order, and Gibbons will deliver it to you in Hamilton or at your home for a fee, or you can pick it up. They will even gift wrap it for you if you like!

Gibbons is hoping to have all of their merchandise available for sale online by Summer 2008.

Cécile - Store Review

Yesterday morning, I got into town a few minutes early, so I decided to go check out Cécile before work!

Cécile is an upscale boutique specializing in European designer fashions. They have beautiful (but expensive) clothing by Emilio Pucci, gorgeous swimwear by Gottex, and amazing evening gowns for sale.

Currently, they are having a huge sale - up to 50% off on lots of different stuff, including swimwear, shoes, purses, and summer clothing.

I did browse around at the sale items, but what I found at Cécile and really liked was their selection of environment-friendly products!

One 'green' brand that they sell is Ecoist. Ecoist makes handbags, coin purses, belts, and other accessories from recycled materials like candy wrappers, food packages, billboards, and other materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. The accessories come in a variety of cool and fun designs. Cécile also sells toys such as trains made out of recycled materials, so you can encourage your kids to save the environment while they play!

Another product at Cécile that encourages recycling are the SIGG Swiss Engineered Water Bottles. These bottles come in sooo many unique and cool designs and colors. They are ultra lightweight, rugged, crack-resistant and completely reusable and recyclable. The bottle's interior lining is 100% effective against leaching and combats residue build-up, so it is easy to clean and ensures that all you taste is the water, juice or energy drink that you just poured in the bottle, even after it's been sitting in the sun. There are versions for kids and adults, and also a version for hot drinks.

I picked up this adorable pink one for $29.

Two other product lines at Cécile that I was pleasantly surprised to find were Hollywood Fashion Tape and Miss Oops. Hollywood Fashion Tape makes all kinds of adhesives for keeping your clothes on. You can use the tape to keep bra straps under shirts or keep tags from popping up. Miss Oops makes one product that I think would be really useful - a dry sponge that is designed specifically to remove deodorant, baby powder and makeup powder from clothing. They also sell the "Pucker Protector" - a lip balm and lip gloss in one that moisturizes, protects, and revives your lips.

Overall, I think that Cécile has a great selection of products - designer clothes and swimwear, eco-friendly accessories and water bottles, toys, and great little fashion secrets like double-stick tape & deodorant mark removers to keep you looking your best!
